Our Mission

Tackling Poverty across Belfast

Foodstock Charity Belfast's mission is to tackle poverty across Belfast and build a stronger, more resilient community.

Foodstock is a charity working to tackle poverty and empower people in communities in Belfast.
The charity had very humble beginnings, starting off at the home of founder Paul Doherty in a response to the growing levels of people living in crisis in his local community.

From here, a growing movement of volunteers mobilised and got to work to reach hundreds of individuals and families on a weekly basis with food supplies in an act of community solidarity which began reaching right across the city.
Very soon, the Foodstock team found that there were so much more issues that people were going through and doubled their efforts to create the Community Solidarity Hub. Within this space, they have set up free breakfasts at schools, a preloved school uniform hub, an
education facility and exam centre, community healthcare initiatives, wellbeing groups, community growing projects, healthy eating initiatives, advice clinics, weekly job centre, employment support with CV and interview support, Autism Support Café and at Christmas,
reach thousands of children with gifts and over 600 people living alone with Christmas
dinners.

People looking out for people.
